I try every few years to give the following bands another chance because I’m certain I’m just missing something, but it never works out:
- Minute Men
- Husker Du (I dig Land Speed Record but that’s it)
- Bikini Kill (if every song sounded like “Fuck Twin Peaks” I’d be on board)
- Slint / Tortoise / post-rock in general
Also, i wouldn’t say I dislike the Fall (when I hear other people play it, I’m into it, and I like bands that get compared to them), but I just can never listen to them. There’s just too much shit and the fan base seems a bit too rabid about them that I get too overwhelmed to ever get started.
