Nathan Loud A lot of contemporary music feels so apolitical to me, to the point of being avoidant, in a time when we should probably use the platform to speak up. I like lyrics that can confidently touch on issues of inequality, (class, sexism, racism) without making it their "thing." It just feels like a lot of bands still steer away from lyrics like that. I wish we could all just be a bit more honest in that direction so that no one band is considered a "political" band.
