C.A.M.O. - Combative Anthems Motivate Outcry

I'm working on a piece interviewing former members of Scott Miller's old bands (Alternate Learning, Game Theory, The Loud Family) and I've been really hooked on this portion from a Game Theory show at the East Side Club Washington DC Nov 1, 1986. I also really like how "Where You Going Northern" going into 'Shark Pretty" - two of my favorite GT songs.

Various – The Radio Tokyo Tapes. Great comp. with paisly underground bands and Minutemen etc. Especially enjoyed "Spy Movie" by Jane Bond & The Undercovermen.

The new Mephitic Corpse LP. Sounds great but need another spin to give final judgement.

How the fack do i add pictures to these posts?

jm Been playing this a lot lately as well. So sweet.

very exxcited for this SHARP PINS LP. I've been liking everything Perennial Death has been putting out lately. Also how old is this kid?

Randall late teens / early twenties if that.
he also plays in lifeguard (matador) who have been around for a few years. their last single is probably the best thing theyve done

Johnny Sick one of the coolest of the hyped private press oddities, story is wild but absolutely unecessary to enjoyment.

checked out some things suggested here yesterday:

          Fruited Planes, loving it.
Shrapnel, a few tunes are great, particularly No More Hesitating. I wish the vocals were more gutsy and on top though.

Spent the other night trying to convert someone who is into lotsa current experimental music, and shared a love for big star's 3rd, came out of the gate saying they don't like blues and blues influenced rock. Limited to my records, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Beefheart, booker T, Little Richard, Flies On Sherbert were all in the mix, I think I convinced him by the end of the night. His main gripe was about the 12 bar pattern being an immediate turn off so I was trying to pick songs that did that but with gusto/fracture/intensity. Is the blues pattern a nonstarter for people?

Other stuff spun that night pre bluesy challenge:
          Nina Simone- Silk & Soul
Craig Smith- Love Is Our Existence

Emil M. Antonowsky The new Mephitic Corpse LP. Sounds great but need another spin to give final judgement.

This was an insta-grip for me when I saw it go up for sale. Stoked to get it.

sicboy for me too. Pre-ordered it without a second thougt. Picked it up yesterday at the Extremely rotten shop here in Copenhagen. Demo was so sick. SAw them when they came thru here with Necropsy Order. Sick live band too.

Emil M. Antonowsky I got mine via 625/TLAL....along with the Immortal Fate repress, so hopefully both of them should come in the mail soon.

Today I played Fucking Mess (one of the best BRAINBOMBS records, doncha' think?) 4 times in a row at full volume with headphones, and while in the shower I listened to the second SPLIT SYSTEM album, which is so good that anyone with even the smallest interest in OZ guitar music should fucking worship it.

11th hour stubble Is the blues pattern a nonstarter for people?

A lot of my favorite music feels like it's just British bands doing a blues pattern but fucking it all up with just a baseline misunderstanding of the blues. It leads to some interesting stuff to say the least, from Groundhogs to Black Sabbath (and obviously the Stones).

I'm just shuffling the entire Steve Adamyk discog today. For this style of guitar pop there's little else that comes close other than maybe Gentleman Jesse? And Jay but that's obvious.
