Hi, I'm Raúl. I'm from Spain and I'm very glad this forum was created, I hate social media, I did miss the forums era.
Nowadays I listen less music than some years ago but I still go to shows and I try to keep myself semi-informed with nowadays stuff.

Hey folks - Tom here, Brooklyn, NY - I book shows around town called Dot Dash and started a label a couple years back - Dot Dash Sounds. I play drums in local band, Discreet Charms and I do the rare fill-in on WFMU. Nice to be back on the boards!
Johnny Sick cool you work with children as well as music stuff... like me! Them kids keep ya honest

That's awesome! Sounds like we have a lot in common. Working with kids is definitely one of the most rewarding (and sometimes challenging!) things, but you're so right—they definitely keep you honest and grounded.
For me, it's especially meaningful because I work with some very 'special' kids. Many of them come from disadvantaged families, and some have experienced both psychological and physical abuse. It can be tough at times, but seeing their resilience and helping them grow makes it all worthwhile.

Johnny Sick Wow, a lot in common! All kids I work with are on Autism spectrum, many with trauma. Meaningful work, but can be exhausting!
terminalsunset Hey, another New Mexican here! I'm from Santa Fe, but I live in Portland now. My family's still in NM, so I visit all the time. New Mexico is the prettiest place on the planet, I miss it!!!
7933481386067 It is very pretty here! I'm about 12 years in as a New Mexico resident, and still liking it quite a bit. Not a lot of punks in Santa Fe, sadly, but the hardcore scene in ABQ is robust (if a bit bro cultured).
I'm Mike from the outer crust of Vancouver, BC ... very cool this forum was created.
Heya. I'm Dale. I did Smashin' Transistors for years. Bancroft Records was/is my label. Moved outta Michigan March of 2020. Landed in Durham, NC. I do the sporadically updated Clanoring thing at Substack, still dabbling in show booking/promo here and there, restore/refurb old film camera and reinvented my career from a regional tourism public relations and graphic content creator person to a vacuum cleaner repairman and general gadfly.
Hey! I'm Luc from France. Older than most of you. I play drums in a couple of bands and still make mixtapes on cassettes. Hardcore punk nerd, closet metalhead, record enthusiast/afficionado (I hate the word "collector".)

I'm Todd. I'm from Utah. I manage the graphics department and oversee color on press at a box manufacturer by day and run a blog and online radio station by night (and day). Been a poser since 1974.
Yo, Clint from Memphis, formerly Milwaukee. I was in a couple bands, wrote for some zines, both cyber and physical. Am old now, 45, and I post way too many links to stuff.
Speaking of which, I just fired up a Blue Sky account last night. Add me on there, I need some frands.
Hi, Aleks from Columbus, Ohio here. I was in some bands and just joined a friend's band after a 5 year hiatus. I miss message boards. I 'm pretty sure this is just one of the reasons I'm here(?). Let me know if JG shows up, lol... CHEERS!
Hiya, I'm Allan from Glasgow, Scotland but will have lived in the Bay Area for 30 years this year.
I am in a band called Neutrals. I used to write/review for MRR for many years until I had to cut some activities out of my life for my own sanity.
Thanks for starting this board, excited to see where it goes. Looking forward to spending less time on social media.
Rapid Adapter Hey man thanks for keeping that Garagey Punk sub-reddit alive. I tried commenting about stuff at first but no one gave a shit or got offended. Thems reddit, I guess...
