This is hands down one of the best fake punk tunes ever. Punk Plonk can be found on Per Forsell's 1981 album Hantverk, which is basically a throwback to early/mid 70s proggy rock and a pretty good record in its own right. However, his shit take on punk is by far the best song on the LP. Highly distorted guitars, a weird drum machine pattern and manic vocals with Swedish lyrics that go out of their way to be as offensive as possible. Unfortunately, I'm probably the only one here who understands them. Still a great song, that in many ways can be seen as a companion to I Beat You by Vicious Visons.
FAKE PUNK
Gimmie Sopor I'm pretty sure Les Marylènes were French, not Belgian. IIRC they were the chorus girls for the famous Parisian mainstream pop/rock band Martin Circus, who also had another popular fake punk/punxploitation band named Bulldozer. I also play Les Marylènes every time I DJ, and it's a guaranteed head-turner!
They went RAC after the first album
probs the G.O.A.T.
This thread is prolific and I have so much to catch up on.
This was the first thing that came to mind. Famously covered by The Spits.
I also think about this all the time. (I live in Portland.)

Tony Coca-Cola and the Roosters all driller all killer
Not strictly "punk" by the standards, but this is another French exploitation record that I absolutely love and DJ every time. Both singers were young cinema actresses.
I love that first track!
When is fake punk just punk???
I would love to start a punk band that's pretending to be a fake punk band. Fake fake punk.
