Rapid Adapter hahah i loved that.. also the vignette where she was piling up from food from catering because 'you never know how long you'll be around' or whatever was gold standard wrestling writing

BARELY HUMAN the toni storm saga's been so sick... the promo she gave after the amnesia angle was so fkn funny: 'you may be the most evil woman alive, but you came from my womb and i'm gonna stick you back up there and spit you out' is an all-timer imo haha

she is the only real story going on over there right now that I'm interested but its enough for me to check back in each week.

Trying to watch all eight seasons of ECW Hardcore TV in 2025.

Dodge Damn. Going to have to do all ppv’s too. I’ll never watch all that in a year. Whatever—Summer Sizzler ‘93 tonight.

    Here's a 20 match Go Shiozaki playlist I made.

    The Forgotten Ace

This is the king of risky clicks, so do not enter unless you have several layers of ad blockers, BUT this guy on Russian YouTube has a bunch of Japanese wrestling full matches. Let's see if the embed will even work.

I clicked on it expecting it to be the infamous buttfarter

62 Pancrase matches. Overall, probably an 85% chance the matches are real. If Minori Suzuki wins, it's probably less than 50% it's real, but otherwise it should be good. It's hard to say, because they started before UFC, and they didn't have ground & pound, but once UFC came around, Pancrase did start doing ground & pound.

    Seems suspicious.

    New Kim Justice

New Joseph Montecillo vid. I think it's a toss up whether I like him or Kim(Justice) better.

LOL. The ones I worry about with Heel Cena are the Make-A-Kids. You know he's gonna do something dastardly to one/many of them.

yo! to the NJPW/Stardom/DDT/etc wrestling heads.. i'm headed to Japan with my partner over Christmas/New Year's for a couple weeks and wanting to try make it along to a wrestling show there.. but finding it hard to see an events schedule that far in advance. i'm guessing the timing won't work (approx Dec 23 - Jan 6) but there's gotta be somethin on right? we'll mostly be down south between Tokyo and Nagasaki i think. any tips would be sick!

Was really shocked to see Cena make the turn but it further cements Cody as the face of the WWE. Interested to see how Cena's last year goes now that hes made the full heel turn. Also was surpised to see them not focus in on shocked little kids in Cena shirts

Heel Cena vs. Face Orton at some point this year is gonna be a interesting prospect. Also, annoyingly, they have been building to this for a while. Ya know, Cena just needs one more world title to be the greatest of all time, but he's lost every match he's had in the last couple years. Going bad was the only way he could cement his legacy.

This has got to end w Rock-Cena, right?

Like, in a fair and just world.

Here's the latest Botchamania. Contains "Rocky Wants Cody's Soul" content, which was quite the meme cycle to ride.

anyone just watch wrestlemania day 1?? kinda skimmed through it eventually without much interest in any of it, and the WM over-production is so fucken grating now.. more interested in day 2 but really dunno if i can handle an hour of entrances and shots of celebrities in the crowd fuuuck - not to be 'i miss the good ol days' but man, i miss that 20th century wrestlemania feel REAL bad

        BARELY HUMAN
I also wasn’t too hyped for WM, but watched it. The entrances for the main event were just about as long as the match. The set this year is insane. So many video screens?!?! I also can’t stand just how many sponsorship tie ins there are and all the ads on the mat. I did love the main event. The finish definitely will have me tuning in this week. I enjoyed hearing all the booos for Dana White. Jacob Fatu is so good. He’s truly terrifying. El Grande Americano is such a stupid gimmick but man does it crack me up, and I’m all about the TIFFY TIME!

Also that Cody Rhodes American vodka ad made me want to puke in my mouth

Couldn’t agree more w all these mania comments, especially regarding the little that was good—to which I’ll add, Heyman. But yeah, a largely lame show saved (mostly) by a peak WWE style main event. Expect more from tonight. However, no matter how great it turns out to, I’m going to feel a little dirty afterwards. So it goes… I hear great things about AEW Dynamite this week. ALSO, AAA?! That should be interesting to track.

God that main event was such trash. We got the John Cena heel turn a few months ago, which everyone has wanted forever, but I feel like that was as far as this was thought out. I didn't care about this match coming in, and it did nothing to change my mind. No Rock. Instead we get Travis Scott?!?!

Cena’s mission to ruin wrestling off to a great start.

Dodge yeah what a terrible main event. I did like his entrance. I did crack up when Travis Scott came out because it was such huge swing and miss.

Also throwing Bailey out for a Becky Lynch return, and then giving her the tag belts in a complete dud of a tag team pairing, was a decision. Becky was the only coming out of that with a shine. There were some real Vince moves happening last night

Agreed with the above, what a mess! Travis Scott as the celeb interloper was so fucken lame haha, his whole involvement in the angle was duuuumb, and I guess was just kind of there to push the Wrestlemania theme tie in? I guess it's been like this a long time for WWE, but the whole event being wrapped around corporate/promotional opportunities was as worst as ever been - Lynch rushed back and given a one day title run for a headline, obligatory Logan Paul YouTube engagement, The Rock involvement to boost social media metrics for two months, pseudo-celeb interference for viral video, Joe Henry pseudo-squash for viral video, and then cobbled together triple threats and fatal four ways to stack the card... I only really tune in for the Rumble and take an interest in the lead up to WM when it comes to WWE these days, but I honestly reckon I'm done with it now. Their buying up promotions to roadblock collaboration between the indies/AEW is pretty cynical too (but business be business I guess).

Frustrating that AEW/ROH/NJPW are floundering so much and can't keep a full consistent card going, take too much time with some storylines (Death Riders is killing me), and rush others, but the in-ring stuff is still so much better than the shit WWE is stumpin up, and I reckon I'm full blown convert now..

BARELY HUMAN Wait you didn't love all the talk about dude wipes? The Joe Henry squash match was a real why moment? Its insane that TNA allowed that to happen. I refused to watch the Logan Paul match. Totally agree on AEW. This last wednesday was actually a great Dynamite, but they are extremely inconsistent. Death Riders losing the trios title was a step in the right direction. I'm hoping this ends with Will Osprey taking the title off Mox. Also MJF has gone from must watch television to get this guy off my screen. Toni Storm is the best thing going in wrestling though.

Randall hahaha my mistake, the dude wipes component was a real winner. TNA seem to have accepted their role as cuckolds to the main roster I suppose; good for them to have some more eyes on them after being swamped by AEW, but thought it made Hendry look like a fool (which i don't mind cos i find the whole schtick really annoying haha).

agreed too about Dynamite, Death Riders were bogging the trios division down with their non-story, hopefully the Opps (looks so weird written down) can bring some life to the division, but feels like it's going to be a weird feud with Samoa Joe & Mox leading to Double or Nothing? Agreed about Ospreay too! he's so over in a company that struggles to build a babyface and that makes total sense... but i have a feeling it'll be Omega at All In to take the title back with some kinda bloated brawl type thing feat Hangman, Okada, Bucks, Perry.. maybe even an Ibushi return? (not sure where he's at with his health).

100% on Toni Storm too, and wtf have they done with MJF? cringed so hard with the whole escort gimmick they tried to pull with Hurt Syndicate, what fucken year is it???

BARELY HUMAN I think that was supposed to be a callback to WCW, since AEW just surpassed Nitro as the longest running wrestling show on TNT/TBS but yeah on a great episode of Dynamite that was by far the worst segment. I just want the MJF Hurt Syndicate storyline to conclude. He’s becoming the new Jericho

                5 days later

A match so poorly conceived that it convinced me that Cornette is right about Janella.

Rapid Adapter god i'm so tempted to watch this trainwreck, but i really wanna keep my Sabu memories intact...

That's some good spinning. (just click on it, it'll never load)

So, despite not watching wrestling* I've ended up watching (and enjoying greatly) Unreal, the fly-on-the-wall WWE documentary. I always enjoy seeing how the sausage as made - can watch endless How It's Made/Inside the Factory shows.

Cody Rhodes and The Rock Johnson are two of the weirdest people I've ever seen in my life. It's like they've never seen humans behave in the wild - when it's time to act they can do it, be normal and they're fucked.

CM Punk comes across well. Chelsea Green seems awesome. Charlotte Flair comes across as a real sweetheart - *I had a brief stint of watching NXT about a decade ago as it'd be on the early hours after a bar job. So I have a soft soir for her/Sasha/Bayley/Becky. Also, cool article by her: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/charlotte-flair-wwe-wrestling

The main thing, though, is that they're all workers and this is a work also. The ultimates carnies.

(Dangerous Alliance in WCW 1992 is peak wrestling for me always)
