I’ll go a step further and say the entire genre of post rock. Not exactly sure what it is but I know I don’t like it.

        More or less any band whose members sport mullets, moustaches, Oakleys and baggy trousers pulled up over their bellybuttons.

          Any band with a steampunk aesthetic. I just know it ain't gonna be for me without hearing a note.

            I was thinking more specific bands. I was listening to a podcast recommended here the other day and one of the host was talking about the new Mogwai band which got me to thinking about bands you write off without ever hearing them. In the case of Mogwai I have no idea what they sound like but long ago decided I disliked them. It’s a strange thing how your mind will do that so was wondering of examples for other people.

              Tropical Fuck Storm is another one for me. I can just tell the vibe is shit, so I have no desire to ever check them out.

                Fair enough. A big one for me is Kraftwerk. I can't think of a single track of theirs, but I'm firmly not into them. Just seems like sexless computer man stuff. No thank you.

                  There was that whole trend a few years ago where bands used shitty puns on famous names: George Moshington, Margaret Thrasher, Heath Deadger. Not a chance in hell I'd waste my time on that.

                    haha totally, always been a pet hate of mine even tho i was in an and the band once so can't judge..

                    these ridiculous names mentioned above like king gizzard, tropical fuck storm, porn crumpets or whatever are fucken awful and must be stopped. in my mind they can stay in that 2003-2007 memory hole where at least it was of its time.

                    i'm sure it's the same with most on here, but these days i'm so fed up with the (re)erosion of the DIY world that the moment i find out a band has a sponsorship deal, manager, publicist, booking agent i refuse to give it the light of day... it sucks man!
