Randall I’ll go a step further and say the entire genre of post rock. Not exactly sure what it is but I know I don’t like it.
Despite living in a strong post rock outpost, I have little knowledge of the genre writ large, but I will say seeing GYBE live is a worthwhile endeavour. The thing is, it's sort of a version of heavy psych minus guitar heroics, minus wild abandon, tempo shifts, plus a sober intellectual sorta aura, which sounds pretty bad but seeing them perform is powerful and psychedelic under the right circumstances. You do tend to wish something abrupt might happen though just to break away from expectations. Or that things will build past the usual threshold.
