terminalsunset Would love to see KARP reissues. Used to have mint copies of Self Titled LP and Suplex but sadly they didn't remain in my collection after the great "I just moved to another city and have no money" purge of 10 or so years ago.
sicboy terminalsunset I really thought some KARP stuff was forthcoming when they started their Instagram account. I hope it is (and that it's not Numero that does it)
terminalsunset sicboy What's the scoop on Numero? I've appreciated their work in the past, but do they suck in some way I'm unaware of?
sicboy terminalsunset Anecdotally, I've heard their payouts to artists they reissue are....questionable, especially with a lot of the older soul stuff they do. Just sort of puts a sour taste in my mouth.
terminalsunset sicboy Oh bummer. Makes sense unfortunately. It's sort of the model of a lot of reissue labels, especially film distros that will scoop up rights for pennies and flip 'em into some premium packaging and sell for beaucoup bucks. I imagine it's easy to do the same with music.
