I dislike the clash. But even they have some great songs: complete control, lost in the supermarket, the card cheat. Collaborating with Allen Ginsberg.

Dead moon are all time greats, but honestly I am getting more excited about their ballads and maybe could take or leave songs like 540/40 or fight.

minutemen and sun city girls are two I am sad to say have not 100% clicked.

I think I don't like The Stooges much besides a couple of songs.

dave thomas what about jazz fart pt 3

Not quite sure what that it is but I am a fan of jazz and farts

Unwound goes in one ear and out the other

Always thought Neu! was fine but I have a hard time buying them as towering krautrock giants and not like something a tier below that. It doesn’t help that they’re probably the easiest one to rip off, so if there’s a forgettable cheesy punk-adjacent psych rock band with a purported krautrock influence, good chance Neu! is what’s most detectable.

I had a switch flip and now I never want to listen to Wire, the Fall, or Mission of Burma. I’m bummed about the first two and can’t explain it but Mission of Burma sounds cheesy to me…too anthemic. Strangely I have come around to Joy Division lately so maybe I have only so many slots available for the classic post-punk bands.

Big name shoegazers other than MBV

The bands Steve Albini played in

Seconding Sun City Girls, I should like them but there’s clearly a level of enjoyment I haven’t unlocked

I thought I was into Stereolab but I would almost
always prefer to listen to Broadcast or Pram or Electrelane

I’m not trying to get banned but…the Screamers

      Replacements for sure.

Also that Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog song. I don't know why you all love it so much.

Mystery_Ship Anything Nick Cave has ever touched.

Years ago, the new Nick Cave album came out and was behind the counter in the record store I work in with it playing. My co-worker started absentmindedly singing "this spooky songgggg is verrrry spooky" along. Wasn't much of a fan to begin with, that killed everything.

I never understood why a band like Elastica was always so appreciated

paperhose Hearing the Paris 1942 album really helped Sun City Girls click for me, if that helps.
