Whatcha snacking on? I've been obsessed with Trader Joe's various novelty popcorns lately. The Piquant Popcorn in particular is good, although seems to have an issue with there being a lot of unchewable kernels as you get down to the bottom.

Always a fan of aged cheddar and almonds, too. No crackers, don't need 'em.

Any other snack heads in the building?

Top 3:

  1. Dang Coconut Crunch Thai rice crisps. So fuckin good!
  2. Flipz, mix of chocolate and white chocolate
  3. Dried Mango slices

I’m a snackaholic but living with a three year old most of my snacking these days is goldfish, dried mango, and these coconut granola clusters. Della asked for some salted macadamia nuts last week, which she is not eating so I’m currently chomping on

Sardines tinned with tomato sauce, I put it on crackers with a little crystal hot sauce.

Pickles and cheese, or green tea and 1/2 a nicotine lozenge.

I got these today

Not sure what I was expecting but was really grossed out by just how much they taste like honey. However, I really liked the tangy heat and despite being repulsed by the honey flavor with each chip I'm half way through the bag. UTZ are great potato chips though.

Any places in Portland consistently stock Utz Ripple Cut Sour Cream & Onion? I've bought them at Sheridan's and John's Marketplace but half the time they're out. Snappy's has the traditional cut, not nearly as good.

Recently moved near a Trader Joe’s and I gotta say, their snacks are too good. I’ll get a bag of the chile lime cashews or whatever and eat the whole thing in 24 hours and gain 8 pounds.

I need snacks that aren’t very good. What’s the least snackable snack food?

Ghost Pepper Jack flavored potato chips from Ballreich’s…

Spice-wise: these ain’t shit, but many servings produces heat
Taste-wise: like it’s s’posed to? On the back of the bag, Cheddar Cheese is listed as an ingredient … an oversight?
Texture-wise: Kettle/Uglies brand meets Ruffles ridges.

Fred Ballreich had a passion for spuds, and chipified them for many years out of Tiffen, Ohio. Goody!

JessVex I’ve had so many people tell me Bodega is their favorite sandwich spot in Portland, but it never fully satisfies my sandwich craving.

Nathan Loud similar snack - I like the Whole Foods 365 brand Thai Curry Cashews.
