I'm not a person who often throws down serious money on a punk single. I've only passed the $100 threshold on three occasions (Broken Talent- Blood Slut, The Eat- God Punishes, Sheer Smegma- Audio Suicide)and on each occasion they were cheaper than I usually see them for. So maybe I don't totally get the record scum mentality. That being said I always find it hilarious how much people throw down on Misfits records. They are by far the hoakiest of the "big" punk bands. I hate using terms like "mall punk" but, their t-shirts have to be one of the top selling pieces of apparel at stores like Hot Topic. I don't think this in itself makes them unworthy of collecting nor do I hate The Misfits, but when you see the price tag on early pressings of Misfits record it boggles my mind that people will throw down so much dough on a band who's image is most likely placed between a Rage Against The Machine and Bad Religion sticker on most cars. Despite this when you get around the real collector scum types Misfits is always part of the conversation.
Anyone here throwing down serious money for a copy of She?
