Went to a couple record stores for the first time in a while. Picked up the Fat Possum reissue of Jim Carroll Band’s Catholic Boy which has been a long time favorite. Also found a used copy of the Home Front full length which I put on my 2023 top 10 for MRR and still love. Maybe my favorite of the bunch that I’m currently enjoying though? The Dictators’ Manifest Destiny. The god damn HARMONIES on this thing. Not their best I guess? But still a giant album. Shit maybe it is their best! For anthemic melodic songs that hit hard there’s not much better.
