Anyone listen to this when it came out or since? I discovered it recently and am really into it. I like Demon's Claws and always had lotsa respect for Jeff's stuff, but this one is stripped down to a degree that brings forward all that is good about his songs and voice. Some Roky demo vibes.

digging the Jeff Clarke solo stuff. always liked Demon’s Claws and the Milk Lines record too. anybody kept up Andre Ethier’s output? he released a record late last year that’s pretty phenomenal. quite a few who cut their teeth in turn-of-the-century garage punk bands turned out to be some of the finest songwriters around. Clarke, Greg Ashley, Ethier, Jesse Lorre…

Randall Both Jeff Clarke records from the German label are at Forced Exposure. Still a bit pricey, but better than import prices.

Clarke has had 2 to 3 songs on the last few Black Lips records and I have resisted buying them just so I could have his songs. I wish they would put out singles for each album of only his songs. I would buy those

Finally had my holy shit moment with Guided By Voices. I've listened to them for years. Even saw them in Austin in 2016. Mesmerizing show. But I felt too overwhelmed by their recordings then. Now I have so much to listen to. I'm so happy.

Via from 1987. Thalia Zedek + other 90s underground rockers (Cell, Six Finger Satellite). I was really into Live Skull's Positraction and then Come (and all of Codeine's slowcore releases). If that sort of thing resonates with you then this is a must listen.

Swell Maps' Wastrels and Whippersnappers, which, as a fan, was not known to me. For a band that often had a demo quality—not only in recording fidelity, but also in their in-and-out flashes of brilliance—this collection of demos and proto-tunes is the ur-Swell Maps, the sketches of a sketchy band, the sucking of the marrow of their bones.

Epic shits, beyond killer, BFTG dosed. Numero package is obvz nice as fugg.

Rizzo - Public Animal LP (No Fun)
As good as punko influencers have recently led us to believe + still economically priced [cheaper than most new LPs]. Bad-boy rock through a 39 Clocks filter. Like a zoo'd out Tjens Couter.

Concrete - Ghoulish Practices 7"EP (Concrete Productions)
Dude from Six Minute War [believe this slots just after 6MW and just before / concurrent to Fallout] and chums do the trumpet and bucket-bang thing, militant yet somehow past-it. Total jean creamer for DIY heads.

Giving this most recent Equipment Pointed Ankh one last shot. Ready to admit that it’s just not for me. Weird because Petty Bunco releases are usually a blind purchase for me. Maybe it has to do with them reaching outside of Philly on this one.
