  • WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT?

Been listening to Only The Stones Remains by The Soft Boys about 2736429 times in a row. Such a great song.

Really enjoying this album from Jonathan Henley (biased because we share a last name). Kind of reminds me of the sideways approach to Americana that Workers Comp takes, although maybe a bit less smart-alecky. Really propulsive and great hooks. Love the recording, too.

Just ordered the Influenza Prods lp. 80s Bedroom DIY duo from Italy. So very Ace if you're into this kinda thing.

Jacket Burner - TONIGHT -- dark and grimy punk rock out of New Mexico.

A friend of mine just found this tape in Olympia and put it online yesterday. Portland power pop/new wave from '85. A neat artifact for those interested in Portland music history. No relation to the Calvin Johnson band of the same name.

      11th hour stubble

Last time I saw them I basically lost my mind in the noise section of Ghostrider. The room was bathed in a dim red light and I lost my voice screaming and jumping up and down, 100% sober. Never experienced such a primal personal moment in a public setting.

Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to die. A classic for sure. Some of the lines hit me harder this listen than before. Gimme the loot.

The Stupids - Peruvian Vacation. Sillier than i remembered. Still good and a good break from all current "serious" hardcore. Fav. track: "Shoulda have listened"

Strul - Lennart Och Asen. Their 12" from 2017 (wow time flies) on Ken Rock. Better than i remembered. FFO Swinehood/Missbrukarna. Good news is a new 12" coming this year on Copenhagen label Adult Crash.

Slan - Ägd LP. Also from Gothenburg, Sweden as Strul. This is faster and harder hardcore more in the vein of Mob 47 or a ultra fast Totalitär. One of my favorite hardcore releases from last year.

The Touch The Feel agreed. That LP is tops start to finish. I've tried to get them to reunite for both Corporate Retreats but they aint having it

Guy Lombardont Just ordered the Influenza Prods lp. 80s Bedroom DIY duo from Italy. So very Ace if you're into this kinda thing.

Wow! I am totally into this kinda thing

Pleased to see this gem back on YouTube. Gives me chills.

Soundtrack to this afternoon is "Oil" by Kiwi heroes METH DRINKER.

The best way to describe it is in the comment section of their Bandcamp page :

"Imagine being hit in the face with a chair in slow motion."

Quiet day with a fever at home? Listen to Myriam Gendron!

ratcharge Quiet day with a fever at home?

Not sure if this is a fever at home rec or if you have one but if so feel better soon. Nasty bug going around. I know a few other posters in the same boat

Yeah actually have one, so working in bed with this album as a comforting soundtrack. Thanks for the kind words! Same here in France, a bunch of friends have had this bad bug in the last few weeks, and some even got Covid it seems.

Alien Nose Job - Suddenly Everything & Colour of Bad Shit lps
Autobahns - First LP! (which I do not own in proper LP form yet)

getting some egg on my face - i am new to the Autobahns - enjoyed my first listen

taking advantage of the snow and family free time to get stoned, organize the piles of records, and dig into stuff I haven't pulled out in a while. My snowtime jams so far

Just found this LP recently, had never heard of it before stumbling onto it at a flea market. Early '80s Ontario punk rock! Peers of Forgotten Rebels...

back after a week of flu. looking at this board made me wanna puke, even more than usual...
speaking of cancon obscuros, do people know this one? I have no background on it, but have been enjoying for years, each time struggling to search it due to the horrendous faux rappers of the same name:

I’m scared you’ll stuff me back in my locker if I say anything but I really like this song mister.

Silo Kids demo (snotty Hattiesburg hardcore)

Gonna give the Heavy Möther II lp and tape a listen

The Stooges - My Idea Of Fun

            Mankind… hive mind(s)… psshaw!

A big ESAD to crummy so-and-sos. The Weirdness was pretty funny overall- likable though.

Wade T Oberlin How they managed to leave probably the best song of those sessions out of the LP, is beyond me

also ive been doing coffee dates with paul and larry of the trend (syracuse).

CAMELIA SINENSIS new record is out today and it’s killer. Ready to fight/ tough sounding hardcore punk from Lille, north of France, with members of tons of bands from their local scene, which has been killing it for quite some time now. Love this drum sound!

Its crazy this album sat on a shelf for over 30 years. An album no matter how many times I've heard it I'm still blown away by

This is great. Wonder if they have any other songs?

                  Randall

That album is next level. Kill the Enemy gives me goosebumps. That bass line on Jasontown!!?!?

first 5 or so GBV albums while sanding drywall and painting ceilings and getting drunk alone

                    best band ever? maybe

hotsounds Alternate Learning, Game Theory, The Loud Family

I'm really excited for that piece, however it manifests, I love Scott Miller and everything he did! I need to get a copy of Music: What Happened?, however it seems to be a really sought-after book that gets bought as soon as it is for sale.

Nathan Loud Kill Yhe Enemy and Boy In The Sandbox are two of the best antiwar songs ever written
