• I HATE MUSIC
  • WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT?

Desperate Bicycles - Peel Sessions. Less scrappy sounding than their singles but still cool.

Digging into more Munehiro Narita, the guitar player from High Rise. I'm transfixed by the pure insanity of his style and get the vapors when the fuzz wah clicks to ON.

So imagine my delight when I come across one of his lesser known projects, Psyche De Loid, an album of classic covers with a femme android doing the vocals. Apparently this is a thing in Japan, it's called Vocaloid.

Not available on YouTube but downloadable on Soulseek.

This album is fucking great. I snagged a reissue from forced exposure a couple of years ago. the version of Venus on this blows my mind

Combing through a few Humpers albums. Fav is still probably the Dionysus Years 10"

Hell 2 by Blank Hellscape is a masterpiece. One of the weirdest and greatest things I've heard in ages.

Back on a Dangerhouse kick. Here's one particular favorite as of late but the whole output is stellar, easily top 5 punk labels.

      Sukebe_GG

I generally don't want the full story i want the beautiful peak. it is cool GT's have a brand new album out tho. listening to it now. They going to be playing shows?

Randall One of my all time favourite bands! Just picked up Top Ten at the record fair on the weekend and am pleased to have the first three lps. Never listened to "The Secret Dub Life of the Flying Lizards" from 2006 though. Is it good??? I assume so.

Vinnie Vacuum Dangerhouse is for sure top 5. An insane roster of hits!

FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS - High Fashion Queen LP
Pumps hard. Not sure why I never dove into live Bureets shit before, but only a tad surprised by the thump. US pub? Kinda!

MISHA PANFILOV SOUND COMBO - En Route LP
DJ'd this over the weekend, reminded me that dude is capable of so much different shit and it's all swell.

SHOCK TREATMENT - Binary Fall Out 12"
At what point is NWOBHM actually just blazin' punk? "The Mugger" is that point. Filthy, unfuckwithable AC/DC Ass Punk.

KING BLOOD – Eye I Aye Ivy LP
Along with Heavy Mother II and Sharp Pins, this gets highest honors 2025 to-date. Here's the program:

      1. At least 4 tall cans of basic-ass, thin-ass lager/pilsner.
      2. Weed.
      3. A couch.
      4. A stereo & turntable with Eye I Aye Ivy playing.
      5. YouTube TV live stream of the Band WebCam from The Elbo Room Fort Lauderdale
      6. Life's great.

Mitch C. Just got these in yesterday and haven't had time to fully indulge yet. Plan on heading down to the basement tonight and jamming at full volume.

I still need to get that Shock Treatment. Really wanted to reissue the 7" but at the time Radio Raheem hit me up to tell me they were on the works on doing so. That never came to be though. How are the additional tracks.

          Randall

The 12" is just the single + 1 extra tune --- "Mr. Computa" --- and it's just alright. I wonder if that label still has stock on the 12", Might be worth snagging a couple.

a perfect song. Currently on the hunt for this single in the meantime I'm just listening to this over and over again on youtbe

Weather's taken a turn into autumn/proto-winter the past week or so and been flogging the first LOWER PLENTY LP (2012) all morning. Some real vegetable stew for lunch type soundtrackin, and heeeeavy nostalgia re-listening after 10+ years. I guess I drifted away from folk-adjacent music in recent years? But man, nice to be chilled out for half an hour!

I have been on an Endless Boogie jag. Mainly the 20 minute jam cdr (I downloaded it) and VIbe Killer album. Sometimes their ZZ Top motoik thing really does it fo rme. The Full Size tape gives similar vibes (pun intended)

Also, new King Blood. More ambient than others and probably better for the diversity.

Syd era Floyd - Especially been keen on See Emily Play. How the fuck was that a hit song. Amazing.

this is hilarious. and a heady mix.

Randall I heard this on tom lax wfmu 10 years ago and was/am deeply moved. listening again more lo fi thank I recall and the bass louder too.
