I'm a fan of How The West Was Fucked. It's 3 guys that used to work at The Funhouse and Victory Lounge in Seattle, drunkenly telling stories from the wild west. They often go off topic and it's kind of a mess, but I like it. It's what I listen to when I go to bed. Probably the only history podcast to ever reference Anal Cunt, the Spits and Andre Williams.

    The Vinyl Guide podcast can be interesting depending on the guest. If you've been around for a long time then you might know more than the host (see the Albini episode). However, a couple that I enjoyed and learned new stuff from were the episodes with Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) and Willie D (Geto Boys).

            Mor this show is the best rec I got from this thread and have been obsessed with it. The only downside of listening at work is I’m blasting through 3-4 episodes a day and the log of movies I want to watch is getting mighty long. Haven’t reached the Manson episodes yet but really loved the Howard Hughes episodes, Carol Lombard and Clark Gable episode, and the one on Hedy Lammar

              Kinda guilty pleasure in DOPEY podcast, bunch of drug addicts telling their worst addiction stories. Totally hit and miss but the urge to "tell us your craziest story about being a white Crips member working as a male hooker addicted to kratom in Las Vegas" is kinda admirable and gets to some good places. Brace Beldon shows up every once in a while to spiel. Music Book Podcast covers some good writers talking about how they wrote their books. Dogpatch is a couple of too-clever-for-anyone's-good soul/hip hop guys (Dante Carfagna and Jon Kirby) discussing micro-genres that basically only exist in their own record collecting minds. Pretty funny and consistently listenable. Timbaland and Memphis Rap episodes stand out in my mind. And story of going to raid a historic collector's collection.

                Eric O these all sound great. Especially DOPEY. I like the concept of the GUYS podcast and really enjoyed the rockabilly one, but I don't think I could listen to any episode that doesn't include Brace. Him calling Nick Cave the biggest dork of the twentieth century got a big LOL

                  I enjoy Justin Pearson's APOLOGY podcast. I don't think he does it in anymore but he basically sits down and starts the conversation about literature and it usually goes to some super interesting places. Guests have included Sam McPheeters, Bonnie Prince Billy, Ian Svenonius Johnny Ryan, Bill Callahan, Lucy Sante, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Tom Scharpling, Jarvis Cocket, etc.

                  I got some earbuds last year for work and started listening to Sports Bizarre [https://sportsbizarre.com/].
                  An interesting and sometimes laugh out loud look at the weird side of sports, covers everything from obscure 18th Century English village games to wife swapping baseball players. Keeps me well entertained.

                    Jonny YenAgain put this on the list when I get back from Mexico City and back on the chopsaw trying to stay entertained while also attempting to keep all my digits

                              I only listen to eps with guests I haven't really heard interviewed. The interviewer is a weird one, sometimes he really organically pulls an interesting conversation out of people, other times he treats them like gods, which feels extra weird in the punk 'sphere'.

                                The Best Show, Stop Podcasting Yourself, and Office Hours are my three usual shows that I've kept up with for a decent amount of time. I miss the completely low energy of WFMU's Night People, it was like ambient talk radio

                                  Northern Disclosure (w/ Rob Morrow and Janine Turner) about my favorite TV series Northern Exposure. It's a great look behind the scenes if you are a fan. Wind Of Change is a limited series podcast about exploring the rumor that the Scorpions' hit by the same name was written by the CIA. A great listen. As far as the audio books are concerned, Douglas Adams The Ends Of The Earth by Arvind Ethan David explored Adams' philosophical, religious views. His fascination w/ tech and exploration and practical use of computers and internet. His conservation efforts. Not so much a biography, but an examination. Some friends and famous fans chime in. Loved it.

                                  SwissCheeseBack Office Hours is great, I’ve been on their Patreon since the start and haven’t gotten bored of the show by any means. Only complaint I have is some of the fans that call in can be quite annoying. Tim seems very inspired by Scharpling, but the call ins just aren’t as fun as the Best Show unless Uncle Phil is calling! Tim does have some good musical guests from time to time though. And Doug and Vic rule!
