Lists are silly, but those above have already made me check out some new stuff so here are some thoughts by yours truly.

I loved Hidden World when it came out, but it hasn't aged well partly because I don't like the direction Fucked Up took after it.

If I would have to pick a PeePee Jeans record it'd definitely be Shallow. Wachovia is probably my favorite track by them.

Why have the Homostupids not been mentioned yet? Clockcleaner anybody? Babylon Rules was a special record.

I think Lumpy and the Dumpers and Uranium Club have both been important bands in the last decade or so. Those Pickled Fuckers and Human Exploration would be my picks by them.

And when we're talkin' hardcore Sex/Vid - Communal Living 12", Cult Ritual - Lp, Dry Rot - Philistine must be mentioned. Crazy Spirit and Dawn of Humans were a big deal to me, but their 7"s were better than the full-lengths. My favorite Crazy Spirit material is their demo though which was later pressed to vinyl. And let's not forget both Cold Sweat 12"s.

I agree that the Dumpers are a noteworthy band but I think they were better live than on record. the full lengths they put out don’t do much for me. I’m sure many would disagree.

I’m not a fan of the direction hardcore has taken over the past decade or so. it seems like it’s dominated by jock-core/beatdowm type shit. I would probably add a Regulations or Career Suicide record to my list to scratch the hardcore itch.

ExpKind how could I forget The Hunches? hell, I’d even add a Lavender Flu record to my best-of list. I find myself listening to them more than the Hunches these days, but Exit Dreams is my favorite record of theirs too.
