Anyone remember when you used to be able to purchase something without being incessantly spammed about taking a survey or leaving a review afterwards?

Señor Scratchy god that shit kills me. I started 1 starring every company that sent me auto review requests until I realised that was probably making me more insane. There's a custom sticker company I do my stickers through who are really good and affordable but have the automated 'please tell us how we went!' emails that really drove me so insane that I've started paying more to go elsewhere and told them as such.. BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO READ THE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK so it seems they don't even know. Petty consumer blowback will be the end of us!

I was just ranting about this the other day! Tired of being asked to improve someone’s shitty product/service out of the goodness of my heart. Quit a satisfaction survey the other day when it dragged past the third minute. Seemed offensive to me.

Wondering if it’s relevant that we’re music aficionados, and so have a lot of opinions, to be sure, but value them too much to hand them out for free.

Satisfaction surveys dumb at the best of times (how did you rate your order of six pairs of socks???) but the way it's crept into the workplace is so much more soul destroying when you spend fifteen minutes giving detailed feedback, read the report that says something like "we hear you, we WILL do better", and then your conditions get worse the next year. Is it some kind of psy-op or something to make you feel like someone cares?? Now that all this shit is just gonna be AI generated, AI assessed and then AI ignored is gonna so get so dark and my body's too broken down from sports and mosh injuries to go back to shovelling shit on the data centre server farm..
