Let’s talk space rock – loud, weird, psychedelic, and 100% ready for lift-off.

I don’t mean ambient drones or minimalist synth odysseys.
I mean guitars drenched in fuzz, sci-fi energy, cosmic themes, and that glorious feeling your brain is melting in zero gravity.

Think:
Hawkwind, Early Pink Floyd, Chrome, Zolar X,
and yes… Von LMO – Future Language
(Possibly recorded inside a nuclear-powered toaster orbiting Neptune)

Who are your favorite space rock bands and albums?
Bonus points for chaos, lasers, and unhinged vocals.

Once described as "a maximal approach to minimalism". Esp. the second half after the fade out/in here

Great image but not so much spacey in sound I guess but any excuse, as I love this album. Got so sick of seeing re-issues of other early '70s bands toted as "Hardest heaviest progiest psychiest" that could never hold a candle to this masterpiece. More mystical - in my mind, it's full of Western Mystery School/Kabbalah imagery.

Funkadelic and whatnot? Bernie, Bootsy and Buckethead? Reminds me a bit of the great Von Lmo

on the jazz tip, of course Sun Ra but Blue Humans have a Von Lmo connection

The Touch The Feel You're absolutely right. I definitely focused a bit too much on older bands. Timmy Vulgar is brilliant, I really love everything he's done, and Human Eye is honestly one of my favorite bands ever.
