My dad is 82, was a teenage teddy boy - saw Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran etc but had aged out of music by the time I came around - he was 41 then. So I never heard rock n roll growing up, REM are the only band we both overlap on. ANyway, every year he watches the Glastonbury coverage on the BBC, can guarantee that he'll find ONE band he enjoys and text me about it. Last year it was LCD Soundsystem.
