Thread of favorite (or least favorite) examples of musicians who act. Any particular roles you enjoyed from them? Can be good, bad, so bad they're good, whatever. Emphasis on the acting here, so liking their music isn't always necessary.

Still need to watch this with Monsieur du Plenty.
Also this movie changed everything:
Also this came to mind:
The great thespian Lee Ving
the incomparable Stiv Bators
and of course DEE DEE
John Doe in Roadhouse is crucial.
Mystery_Ship JD has always been my favorite example. Still need to see the “DOA” remake with him in it.
Debbie Harry in Videodrome is another doozy.
Flea is somewhat prolific. He was in Big Lebowski, which I keep forgetting. Would love to watch a biopic about his dong sock.
I haven’t seen Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure since it came out and only recently learned Jane Wiedlin was Joan Of Arc.
Black Randy (and Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Paul Simonon) in Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains.
Chris D, John Doe and Texicala Jones in Border Radio
Ben Lyon and Fee Waybill in Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains (maybe the funniest one besides Black Randy ofc)
I watched THIEF recently and forget how great Willie Nelson's scene was.
Iggy
Richard Edson. Best know for joy riding cars in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I think of him on the cover of the Club Foot comp.
Richard Hell in Smithereens is another favorite.
Randall I've never seen DS9 but this is enough to get me to watch it. weirdest part of this costume is of course that he is wearing a shirt.
Vinnie Vacuum he's great in that awesome, picturesque, and bleak movie
