Randall FAKE played an outstanding set of understatedly funny songs. A highlight was their song “Another One,” for those times when you are at the bar and just want to keep drinking it in.

I’m psyched beyond sleeping for going back the rest of this weekend.

I’ve wanted to start a show journal for a LONG time and figure I could just do it via the forums. I’ll report back with my highlights. There are many!

DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS:
WESLEY & THE BOYS kicked it off with the train humming in the background. I've seen this band a couple times now and they get better with every show. They bring it!
EXBATS brought Inez out from behind the kit and she killed it.
IBEX CLONE always delivers.
PYLON REENACTMENT SOCIETY really put on a fantastic show and did their original material justice. They were all having fun up there.

DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS:
BEEF - I was not familiar with them before this weekend but it has the feel it records guy (hi if you're on here) playing guitar and they were super cool.
PET MOSQUITO was the best band of the weekend.
NAPE NECK is the band I've been searching for. Really intense polybeats and gregorian chants with sharp & pointy post punk riffs and bass. I hope to see them again and definitely recommend keeping tabs on them.
TEE VEE REPAIRMAN had the crowd going nuts. So much fun.

DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS:
TWISTED TEENS was recommended to ,e before the fest but I wasn't buying that I would like it. I was totally wrong. It's jangly, catchy tunes with a super tight band. Everyone is talking about the pedal steel (which I love) but to me this guy's singing voice was the star.
SLEEVENS are one of the best bands around! They're incredible musicians but also bring a party. They couldn't determine how much time they had left during the show so they just kept playing so the set felt really fresh and spontaneous.
ERASER was cool to see. I love the record and not many bands could pull off putting on a show in direct sunlight in 90 degree heat at 3 PM while everyone in the crowd is hungover.
GROSS MOTOR - fantastic all start lineup!

Those are most of the highlights. Not posting lowlights.... I'm already too much of a hater!

Back home and coming back to life. Highlights for myself were Michael Beach, Sharp Pins(twice), Dummy, Lightning Bolt, Nape Neck, Eraser, Tommy Wright III and Teevee Repairman.

A grand time was had!

Pet Mosquito, Tina, Tommy Wright III, Tee Vee Repairman, Radioactivity, Sleeveens, Wesley and the Boys, Beef and the Total Punk after party were top notch! Snooper at the Overton Park shell was pretty fun. Great too see everyone again!

Tee Vee (twice), Radioactivity, Wesley & the Boys (twice), Sex Faces afterparty, Pet Mosquito (twice), Twisted Teens (3x), Dummy seemed to have sound issues-still great, Tommy Wright III was fun, Tina!!!, Lothario, Sleeveens, The Whiffs (twice)

Seems like Total Punk and Feel It! have had afterparties on the same night during the last few years. Coordinate these to be on different nights! That said, the TP afterparty was a highlight.

I'm sure I'm missing some.
