Time isn't ELO's best album, but it's pretty good in a cheesy 80s kind of way, despite the absence of July (who doesn't live here anymore). Fortunately I recently found the Twilight/July Don't Live Here Anymore 7" for peanuts at a nearby flea market, so I'm sorted.

Playing lots and lots of non-punk nowadays, which I hope changes quite soon. Specializing in almost any side-long bullshit as of late, which is fine if all you do is sit/rot. 2 notable exceptions:

Misha Panfilov. Particularly “Days As Echoes”, though there are many other worthy entries (some even carried on occasion by Total Punk).

Little Roy “Tribal War”. Choice recent reggae reissue.

I realize everyone is entitled to an opinion…and that opinion is that CCR is straight-up wonderful.

Mitch C. as @paperhose had mentioned I have the habit of calling everything I listen to punk as well but most of my recent listening hasn’t been of the standard punk variety. Misha Panfilov’s catalog is huge and varied. I like a lot of it but the Sextet records are my favorite.

I like a lot of house, techno and electro-adjacent things. One of my favourite producers is Actress - his music is ostensibly techno but it's increasingly non-dancefloor focused. He pans channels a lot, which is something that'd usually make the musical pet hates thread but I like it in his tracks. His music sounds like the ghosts of a dancefloor being photocopied but unseen.

Rediscovered this one recently. Used to have the CD but sold it. It's getting a 20th anniversary reissue this year.
Post-hardcore w/ prog, metal and screamo tendencies. Yeah, that's generally a description that would keep me away but in this case I like it.
