I used to write show reviews for an alt weekly and would write about whatever punk or garage or noise thing tickled my fancy, until the paper got a new editor who asked me to go review a “Trampled By Turtles” performance. I said there was no way in hell I would write about that band, whoever they were, and I never wrote for the paper again.
