samantha I'm going to London for a Billy Childish gig on 3/28 and have limited time for record shopping. Please drop a line if you have any Cotswolds, Margate, London or Medway record shops to recommend. Glam, garage, punk preferred.
samantha Recommendations from the Budget Rock Facebook group: LONDON: A second hand record shop in central London: Reckless Records: the Berwick Street branch (garage punk section) Atlantis Records in Hackney. Tome Records is nearby too and also quite good, makes for a good loop. There are also a few charity shops on mare street on the walk between them. + the journey from kings cross (nr lexington) and hackney central (right outside Tome) is quick (tho 2 trains) Not records: Do yourself a favor & stop by the Last Tuesday Society for a drink & checking out the curiosity museum. https://thelasttuesdaysociety.org/ MEDWAY: Analogue Music on Rochester High Street, big Medway section Medway Record Collector in Gillingham Magic Discs in Rainham. More in the suburbs of Greater London: Records in West Wickham. 60’s garage rock and girl group comps. They are only open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays though. https://www.rollinrecords.co.uk/
