Señor Scratchy Red Menace Devil Dogs version of Palisades Park is better than any version, including Ramones... They also have the best version of Be True To Your School.
SwamiPat The World needs more covers. The Milkshakes LP "20 Rock and Roll Hits" is outta control good. They really make those 50s tunes hit the modern ear in the same way they must have hit when they came out. Rocket From The Crypt's dedication to covers open a lot of doors for me early on. Their cover of The Real Kids tune "Who Needs You" is a true standout. [
Gimmie Sopor I didn't know the original song when I first heard this one by Cat Funeral. But soon discovered that it's much better than Metronomy's version. Not released on physical format as far as I know.
Gimmie Sopor Not better than Larry Wallis' original version of Police Car. Really good cover though and they manage to make the song their own.
see-saw.fun's evan minsker big weakness for this entire comp series but gotta say for me it's drew over phil when I wanna hear this song
Jack H see-saw.fun's evan minsker I'd include his Limps cover as well. Both versions are great but I prefer the Sick Thoughts one.
Uptown ruler 666 420 <3 drew but that's blasphemy adding SUCK "21st Century Schizoid Man" Blue Cheer "Summertime Blues"
11th hour stubble Not better but real real cool: I think I said Saints-kissing Cousins on the old board, and someone brought up Swamp Rats and they have a good half dozen killer entries, Mc5 Ramblin Rose, agian not better, but killer.
terminalsunset He's a buddy of mine and I sometimes play bass in his band full disclosure, but The Bed Band's Beatles album rules. "Here, There and Everywhere" "A Little Help From My Friends" "Don't Pass Me By"
