This past week has been sleepless and filled with anxiety and dread, but last night that all managed to melt away! What a blast. Lavender Flu never fails to take me on a journey and The Drags took me on a trip back in time. IT took 30 years but I finally got to see them live and it was every bit as fun as I thought it would be. Was so amazing to get to see them at the Kenton!

Incredible way to set it off. Was not expecting a Tastes Like Poison into We're An American Band into Jet Boy Jet Girl into Cest Plane Pour Moi into Rocking Aftert Midnight into Cest Plane Pour Moi into Tastes Like Poison. What a blast.

A truly righteous time was had. Cheater Slicks, the Drags, Lavender Flu, Famous Mammals and Replica Watch being personal highlights. Huge thanks to Rich for making it happen!

Great weekend. Fan Club, The Drags, Rik & the Pigs and the Cruelster afterparty were particular highlights.
EDIT: Pet Mosquito. 4th or 5th time I've seen them and this was the best yet.

Class, Wesley & the Boys, Famous Mammals, Replica Watch, Cheater Slicks, Pyrex, Useless Eaters, Girl Drink Drunks all stand out too. I'm sure I'll remember more some (apologies).

Also fun to catch up with people from Goner and Mosswood and meet new ones too.

Peak moment was watching @Vinnie Vacuum shred the pit during Useless Eaters. An incredible band in sound and vibe.

Also those guitar issues with Cheater Slicks seemed to raise the stakes, made it feel more dangerous/interesting than it might have otherwise. Was like watching a magician struggle in locked chains.

I'm not really able to make it to many of these fests, so I'm thankful I got to go to this one. So many killer bands. So thankful I finally got to see the Drags. Thanks Rich! Had a blast. Kinda bummed today now that I'm back to reality. Anyone else have a phantom feeling like your wristband is still on?
