hey it’s Evan Minsker from western wisconsin, for like a decade I was running news at p4k then a year ago they cleaned house over there. now I got a website called see/saw. every week I write about records, do a podcast called punk this week with Nina Corcoran, have a weekly hourlong radio show, sometimes I throw shows. there’s a see/saw discord too where some of the folks in here talk about music and other stuff too, a chat room complement to this thing.

Hey! My name is Tom and I’m originally from the UK, but moved from London to Toronto a few months ago and slowly getting used to everything here. I’ve played in a couple of bands over the years but always felt more comfortable behind the scenes, so spent most of my time booking shows and doing a label called Static Shock Records. It turns 17 years old this May which feels kind of mad.

As a long time board lurker, it’s very nice to see something like this appearing in 2025. So much so that I’m even going to try and post when I can. Cheers!

              Welcome to the forums! It was bad enough moving my entire store from Florida to Portland. I couldn't imagine moving it across an ocean. Glad to hear you are on the continent now though!

                  BARELY HUMAN So far so good! I think it might be a bit quieter than back then but there's still cool gigs and record stores in town. Emissions has taken the reigns for the punk store, but it's more a standard record store than venue / community space. Speaking of which, I don't think we met IRL but I saw BB and the Blips a couple of times when you played Not Dead Yet. That matinee in particular was great and I still play the record.

                  Randall Yeah, having all my records (and I guess other possessions) sitting on a ship for the best part of four months uninsured was a little nerve wracking haha. Thankfully everything made it safe and sound and it's given me a new found appreciation for everything!

I play bass & yell shit in the band Collate, put out records on a very small label called Domestic Departure, book shows occasionally & do radio / record reviews for MRR. In my non-punk life, I'm a librarian doing records (the boring kind) management. I'm very tired a lot of the time.

                                        I do budget sleeve/poster design & illustration work.
