this is a reported essay about the explosion of activity in oslo and stavanger’s punk scenes; I went through and hyperlinked all the bands discussed and it's deeply worth investigating. tons of cool stuff I hadn't heard before. interviews, some great photos, and a big ass playlist.

I went to reno and wanted to interview the band rotary club (iron lung records) irl somewhere. instead, they sent me to a bus station payphone, left instructions for how to reach them, and then mailed me a cassette of our conversation a couple weeks later.
