I’m gonna get out my notes from the early ‘00s to check your work. We had a good thing going on the goner board with a thread documenting the most obscure d.i.y./punk-adjacent bands and “bands” from places like SLIDELL, LAUREL, MEMPHIS, JACKSON, MOBILE, HATTIESBURG, CORINTH, HARAHAN, LAFAYETTE, BATON ROUGE, BURAS, and worse. The focus was the 1980s with a little ‘70s/early ‘90s spillover. No better time to rebuild that discussion than now.
I’m gonna do a LP of the very lost MEN WITH NO I.Q.’S demo from ‘87. Which is all the way over on the Heavy Metal end of the spectrum (ha)
Here’s the WFMU blog post by Brian Turner about them:

And very exciting Pete Larson (Bulb Records) has digitized one of the few cassette-only releases he did in the early-to-mid ‘80s documenting real and imaginary bands from Hattiesburg and Jackson. This might be ALL Hattiesburg… It is great.
