Gimmie Sopor i agree. to me, it's better than all solo stuff except Hammer 7" and Blood Visions and over Winter Coffin 7"
Favorite Jay Reatard (& related) records?
That handful of singles from the 2000s Reatards & Terror Visions feels like the only slight dip. Still, no flagrant false moves.
Black Wave is my favorite Lost Sounds. Massive record, feels like all the pieces click.
Mitch C. i waver between Black Wave & Rat’s Brains - Black Wave is probably more immersive and defines the whole aesthetic but then Rat’s Brains kicks a lot of ass
I never got to see the first run of Reatards live, but of everything I did see LOST SOUNDS live couldn't be topped. I haven't listened to the records in a long time though. Need to go back and revisit, but at the time Future Touch and the final album were my favorites of the Lost Sounds catalog. I thought they had the best Alicja songs. The first few Final Solutions 7"s and the first LP are some of the best punk of the 2000's. I was wild about the ANGRY ANGLES singles when they came out but that was one band where I didn't think Jay's breakneck live speed worked as well. Jay's catalog is huge though and nearly everything is top notch. I often think about what he would be doing now

PaddyBullocks that was probably the only time Jay was ever relaxed and chill on tour - he didn't have any of the nervous anxious energy he otherwise always had. I think he was along for the ride on that tour. I would say he was much cooler but I probably made him talk about nerd shit he usually didn't have time for
gotta give Jay credit as the likely king of the short lived cd-r medium:
Lost Sounds probably did it best with Alicja's hand done unique covers - They had 2 cd-r demo comps
Bad Times Live was originally a cd-r release
Terror Visions lp & 7" were originally a cd-r
I missed out on the Nervous Patterns cd-r
Final Solutions cd-r - I have no idea if I am among the 25 people who own this or not
I guess they were all editions of 25? were there others?

PaddyBullocks i asked chad booth once about the final solutions cdr and he said all the songs on it eventually came out. either on the first Final Solutuons single or the last single
not a big fan of his music but i love his termbo posts
Teenage Hate was a blaster and total game changer. Admittedly, I haven't been a faithful follower of all that he produced.
Grown up, Fucked Up holds its own with any of Jay's music. Bad Times is just a perfect album end to end.
I had the privilege of opening for Lost Sounds a couple times during the debut album tour. Their album and live show just blew my wig off. Those were good times.
In '99, I bought a used "Grown Up Fucked Up" CD (even though it had just come out) just cuz it was on eMpTy Records, which had a solid run of releases ... played it incessantly & still love it.
Still regret not making the trip down to Seattle for their show around that time ... photos from their Fallout Records instore here.
I think I saw this in r/GaragePunk a few days ago. Pre-ordered.
Right out the gate- scum punk rock Pebbles.
1st Final Solutions record is #1
Lost Sounds done no wrong.
Both Reatards LP's
Ultimately I could listen to all of it and did for a long time. The first Final Solutions record is head above the rest(right now).
Got the Bad Times record spinning currently. Bits of it make me want to set fire to cars. So good.
Was listening to a bunch of King Khan's albums in the week. Had forgotten about his German language cover of Hammer I Miss You (Hammer Ich Vermisse Dich).
