paperhose ratcharge Cafe La Habana. Breakfast food and coffee. Simple but good. Was a hangout for Bolano, and fictional versions of the cafe and appear in his novels. Other famous folks also frequented apparantly, including Fidel Castro and Che Guevera. Biblioteca Vasconcelos. Huge free library. Feels like being inside Borges story.
jeff g There were a few record stores in the Roma neighbourhood that were cool. Pretty pricey though. Most had posters for various bars with shows/DJ nights. El Chopo market is worth checking out. A bit of a teen goth/dress-up punk vibe but we had fun.
