Obv it is Planes, Trains and Automobiles season.

I somehow had forgotten about the scene where they are in the car and John Candy is saying how Steve Martin loves fidgeting with hit nuts and SM is fuming and says, You know what would make me happy? and JC replies, Another couple balls and an extra set of fingers?

The Touch The Feel Haha! I think a lot of that scene and many others were improvised. Which makes it better imo! Allegedly, the film was well over 3.5 hrs long and had to be trimmed down significantly because of the banter and improvisation. I’d love to see some of those scenes and clips…

I’m a Yorgos fan girl so I’ll admit it is hard to parce out. But the composer he’s used for three of his films, including this new one, is excellent.

He uses the same dissonance with brassy bass tones in all three scores.

This particular track is a great example.

Watched Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Annihilation for the first time since the 90s. The opening scene of Annihilation is the last moments of Mortal Kombat. Which is cool, continuity and all. Until the fact all of the cast (other than two main characters( have been recast with different actors. Love stuff like that, utter clownshow.

Finally saw Tomata DuPlenty in Population: 1 last night in an underground and off-the-books showing in a local theater. Programmed, introduced, and contextualized by local culture-head Corby.

Surreal, anarchic, hilarious, completely worth your time (one hour) and your hard-earned dollar ($0 on YouTube).

Remarkably good performance from Mr. DuPlenty, and it seems like he did a lot of (or all) of the music live with no o-dubs. Challenging and admirable. Oh yeah, it's a musical. There are jazz vampires.

I saw silent hill and it left me on the edge of my seat. Because I wanted to leave. And I did after an hour. What a stinker

Still not as bad as marty supreme tho

Watched drop dead gorgeous tonight. Almost plays out like a Christopher Guest movie. Really funny and Allison Janney kills.
