Has there been any talk on here about Subvert Dot FM yet? It's the new "artist owned" Bandcamp alternative that hasn't quite launched yet. Now obviously, I am old and I have seen a million platforms come and go, but it'd be nice to be associated with something that might not get sold to an evil billionaire.

ah coool, i'll check this out.. been thinking there's gotta be another way to flog music, bandcamp's always irked me... the fees they charge the label/band and taxes they charge customers on top (GST etc) because of their business structure really gives me the shits. lookin forward to seeing if this can work thansk for lettin us know man

      Just signed up to become a member for this, really welcome initiative, though I can't quite figure out what it is or where it's headed among all the information that's provided with project direction etc... as much as I'm all for transparency and flat organisational structures, it's a lot of stuff to sift through to find out what/when things are happening when being inundated with the how (but I'm a whiner these days).

      really hope it comes together smoothly and gets picked up and utilised by the music community.. a replacement bandcamp/spotify would be great and something i've been surprised hasn't been really attempted until now. i do wonder how many people will sign up to it, but i'm hoping it at least gets embraced by DIY communities as a platform, especially those bands (like every band i've been in) who don't want to upload to streaming services.. carve out a little niche!

        BARELY HUMAN haha. Yeah I signed up months ago, and feel the same way. I'm just waiting for them to let me know its go time
