I've got a bunch to add eventually obviously, but my favorite Wisconsin drum machine country is Larry Lee Phillipson, who self-released a bunch of it in the 1970s. He had been a country and rockabilly artist, then went to Nashville to cut a bunch of traditional country...when he got bummed out by the Music Industry, he bought an old antique shop up north in Wisconsin and started one-man-band recordings numbers for his own Phillipson label.
