Gang Vocals

what are your favorite songs with gang vocals or call & response vocals (past or present)? they were big in the early days of punk, and obviously hardcore, street punk and stuff like that, but it feels like it’s a powerful tool that isn’t utilized much in punk and rock’n’roll these days. prove me wrong and give me some good examples

I’ve gotten over it (to say the least), but the gang vocals made it really hard for me to fall for Liquor Store’s recorded efforts. Always loved them live and wanted to have that shit on tap at home, but couldn’t get there for years.

i can't think of any examples but i think i'm more and more pro gang vocals and even pro dual frontpeople... loved that SPIRITO DI LUPO record from a couple years back for that reason

BARELY HUMAN Seeing two people on stage with a mic in hand and a band behind them would probably make me leave the room instantly. Howevver I'm all for exceptions to a rule.

Not a fan of gang vocals, but it works for some bands. I immediately have images of youth crew and/or metalcore bands screaming platitudes about being 'fake' or a 'backstabber' in my mind. I'm above that shit, rose above it.

you get the idea… I rarely hear more than one person singing on most modern punk records. and obviously I’m purposefully dismissing any kind of pop-punk/melodic hardcore/metalcore crap
