Portland's premier skronk mongers VAGUE FUGUE have an exciting month of shows coming up, including the official release of our new cassette, THE ANNIHILATION RITUAL.

You would do well to sell all your possessions immediately and fly to any of the following locations for a live experience of our music. For those who can't make any of the shows, you can follow us on social media to see short clips and feel total dopamine FOMO.

First, we're playing Ronald Records (Vancouver, WA) on 8/8 at 8 PM with spaz titans NASALROD.

Mere days later (Sunday 8/16, the day that Elvis died), we're officially releasing our new tape, THE ANNIHILATION RITUAL, with groove gurus PUBLIC PLEASURE opening the rock portal. This is a mercifully early show that will be over by 7 PM and costs zero dollars.

Lastly, we're playing Lucky Liquor in Seattle on Friday 8/21 with Rob Vasquez's mighty SUPRR POWRR and support from JUICY THOMPSON AND THE SNUGGLE REGIME.

There are other interesting things on the horizon, but that's all for now.

Is this cassette going to be 2 sides or is that deeply insulting to the Fugueaesthetic? That being wait to rewind it all the way back to the beginning you godamn filthy animal. But, part of me wonders if a one-sided tape isn't meant to serve as a call to arms for all VF heads to lean on one another so as to be forced to meet up, plan towards a victorious future and also to borrow someone else's cassette to tape the album onto the other unused side. If so, thanks for doing your part in this war.

Dear Valued Customer,

It has come to our attention that some copies of the first tape are single-sided, containing only one complete listening experience per tape, instead of two.

This week, the manufacturer confirmed that certain copies numbered in the low 300,000s sustained this duplication error along with some magnetic anomalies that affect fidelity in the 480 Hz range. These imperfections can impact how deep certain guitar solos will reach into your mind's shadow world. Both defects made it through their rigorous quality control process and we regret the error.

But worry not, THE ANNIHILATION RITUAL contains two complete extended player experiences: the same one on each side, GUARANTEED. We will be selling these THIS SUNDAY 8/16 in PORTLAND, OREGON at DREAM HOUSE at 5 PM. There's still time to book flights.

And when these tapes are gone, they're gonna get duplicated again. They'll be for sale online, perhaps, once we're back from our Pacific Northwest tour to Seattle.
